About Me
My journey into mind-body practices began at age 12, following a sports-related injury and a difficult relationship with my coach that led me to step away from competitive gymnastics and transition into springboard diving. As a teenager and young woman, I struggled with depression, emotional overwhelm, and body shame, but I was fortunate to seek mental health counseling early. During this time, I also discovered yoga — a practice that offered a calming, grounding connection to my body, even before I fully understood its benefits. Over the years, yoga has become a profound teacher and resource, evolving into a rich spiritual practice that continues to shape how I live and work.
When I later experienced professional burnout as a hospice social worker, I turned to coaching for the first time. This experience not only supported my recovery but also deepened my sense of vocation. Throughout my personal and professional journey, I’ve had the privilege of learning from a diverse community of practitioners, including psychotherapists, yoga teachers, mindfulness facilitators, bodyworkers, acupuncturists, energy healers, and spiritual mentors. Being in community with this network of healers has profoundly influenced my growth, spiritual formation, and capacity for joy.
After earning my first coaching certification through the Duke University Health System, I was honored to become the first Mind-Body Medicine Counselor at Mayo Clinic Florida. There, I supported patients across specialties including Executive Health, Women’s Health, Hypermobile Ehlers-Danlos Syndrome, and Breast Cancer. My role later expanded to Instructor in Medicine at the Mayo Clinic College of Medicine and Science, where I contributed to the EDS Living Program and the Medical Breast Cancer Training Program.
I later completed a Holistic Coach Certification through the Holistic Coach Training Institute, further strengthening my coaching practice. I have also taught social work at the university level, including at the University of North Florida and Florida State University. Cultivating conscious, embodied social workers is one of my deepest passions, and I am committed to supporting the growth and development of the next generation of practitioners.
